More Ways to Help

Walk Shelter Dogs

Kennel life is stressful. Join Eastern Sierra Dog Rescue (ESDR) volunteers and walk a shelter dog. Even better, take one on a field trip for a very special day.
They deserve it!

Foster Shelter Pets

Provide a loving home until adoption. It helps pets to become more adoptable and creates more space at the shelter for other animals in need. Fostering saves lives!

Visit Shelter Pets

Spend time with animals at the shelter to help them become more adoptable. It provides them with much needed stimulation, stress reduction and human connection.

Donate Pet Food/Supplies

Unopened pet food and other items can be dropped off at the Inyo County Animal Shelter. Big Pine too far? You can also drop off items at Mono County Animal Shelter for the 4 Paws & Claws Pet Food Pantry.

TNR Community Cats

Help to control the stray and feral cat population which prevents the spread of disease and suffering. TNR lowers shelter intake numbers and is most effective in reducing overpopulation!

PGHS Dog Training

Enrich the life of shelter dogs and students alike. Join the Palisade Glacier High School (PGHS) program as training assistant to help during their independent study sessions.
